Columbus-based Bath & Body Works opened the first of its new "Feel Good" concept stores Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina — with additional locations at Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio, and in Miami, Florida, to follow this fall.

The reimagined format pairs an open floorplan and clearer product information with hands-on testing spaces and associate fragrance expertise, designed to make fragrance discovery easier, the company said. A simplified layout, focused product displays and dedicated testing areas bring the concept to life "through a more contemporary expression of the Bath & Body Works brand."

The Feel Good concept advances the retailer's "Consumer First Formula," its strategic transformation plan that places the consumer at the center of every decision. The company said consumer feedback shaped the format, with shoppers asking for easier navigation, clearer information about ingredients and benefits, and a more streamlined testing experience.

The Charlotte SouthPark Mall location is the first of three concept stores opening this fall. The company is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, making the upcoming Easton Town Center store a hometown showcase for the new format.
