Valor Energy moves to buy Youngstown computing center for $3.6M, plans AI data center

Under the agreement, Valor will acquire all outstanding equity of the company that holds the facility at 1911 Logan Avenue, according to the company's disclosure in an SEC 8-K filing made October 22. The property totals roughly 30,888 square feet with about 18 megavolt-amperes of power capacity under an existing utility interconnection with Ohio Edison — energized power that the company says can be hard to secure in the AI infrastructure race.
"This agreement is an important step in Valor Energy's AI data center strategy," said Dave Nichols, strategic adviser to the company. "The Youngstown site includes 18 megavolt-amperes of power capacity that we believe is already approved and energized, which can be difficult to secure in this industry." The deal includes a $360,000 refundable deposit, a 30-business-day due diligence period, and a targeted closing within 90 business days — though the company cautioned there is no assurance the acquisition will complete.
Valor Energy — formerly known as Senmiao Technology — historically operated automobile transaction and related services businesses and is pursuing a strategic transformation into digital infrastructure, energy and other growth sectors. The Youngstown move follows its evaluation of AI data center projects as demand for power-ready computing sites surges nationwide.
